When a member of the automotive
industry launches a new sports car the experts immediate focus on its
performance characteristics and how this new model measures up to its
competitors and predecessors. While the grounds maintenance industry has
witnessed its share of innovations, the Encore series of X-TREME Zero
Turn mowers has entered a new realm of production mowers and with it
comes a sportier appearance and features.
With the overwhelming success of the first X-TREME, Encore responded to
field demands by complimenting the 52 deck for 2006 with the new 48
and 60 models.
All three models of the new X-TREME mowers are at the top end of the
productivity scale producing a high quality cut with the ability to
achieve high volumes of cutting in a short period of time. The top
operating speeds of the X-TREMES is an amazing 10 mph in both forward
and reverse and the blade tip speed on the high lift mower blades is
19,000 feet per minute delivering the optimum in cutting performance.
Adjusting the cutting height is easy with the foot peddle height lift
for cutting ranges between 1 and 4.5. The cutting deck is constructed
of #10 gauge steel and all seams are fully welded to withstand the harsh
operating conditions of many commercial applications. To add to the
longevity of the deck, the bolt on deck plate and welded side skirts are
made of heavy duty #7 gauge steel with the complete deck being powder
coated to give the X-TREME a long lasting finish. At Encore they know
