Full floating deck suspension - The Prowler's independent suspension has a floating deck that follows the terrain with the front wheels but separate from the mower chassis, reducing scalping and giving an even cut. This suspension smoothes out rough turf so you can cut faster and ride easier.

Smooth dual hydrostatic power and precision - Prowler mowers all rely on dual path hydrostatic drive for more overall drive wheel power, control and stability. These dual hydrostatic drives control the speed and direction of each wheel independently for effortless 360 degree turns. You'll get smooth riding, precise control for accurate trimming and pin-point maneuverability around trees and through tight places. A light touch will maintain smooth power and control even while mowing at high speed.

An emphasis on operator comfort - You'll get a clear view of the out-front mowing deck and the drive tires from this cushioned seat. No pedals are used for speed or direction control. All operation is controlled by ergonomically designed twin hydrostatic steering bars. Throttle, choke, ignition switch, one-handed height adjustment, parking brake, and blade engagement lever are all positioned for operation from the seat.

Flip-up deck for easy blade access and compact transport - The Front Cut Prowler deck tilt-ups, rotating to 90 degrees for easy cleaning, blade access, transport and storage. The mower folds to a compact 81" length. Transported in this position, you'll have trailer space for another Encore mower! The seat is hinged too, giving working access to the battery.

Maintenance-Free Blade Spindles - It's the spindle scheme that's set the standard others now try to follow! There is no grease zerk on Encore's innovative blade spindle assembly. This assembly reduces routine maintenance and gives a longer bearing life - so there is a two-year warranty on the spindle. For basic upkeep, bearings are fully repairable in the field.

Tail wheel options - There's the option of single or dual tail wheels. Dual tail wheels add stability for turns and slopes. Some operators prefer their stability with a grass collection system. For less tracking, a single tail wheel can be specified. Deck width, engine and tail wheel options can all be fitted to the needs of your operation.

Industrial strength frame - There is a 7 gauge steel deck reinforcement and side skirts on this mower. The deck plate adds another piece of 10 gauge steel. A tubular steel bumper adds further protection for the front of the deck. All that steel reinforcement holds the Prowler's deck steady to assure blade alignment and reduce vibration. This gives a level, smooth cut even at high speeds and under difficult cutting conditions.
